Saturday 1st July 2017
Wildfower walk at Treshnish Farm. On National Meadows Day we will be joining celebrations at Treshnish Farm of their Coronation Meadow.

1st July is National Meadows Day and Treshnish Farm will be celebrating in their Coronation Meadow. They have invited us to incorporate our wildflower walk into these celebrations.

The event starts with Moth trapping at 11am.

The Ranger led walk starts at Midday.

Picnic in the Meadow from 1.30pm onwards.

Following on from Tiffins at Treshnish last summer, this year they are combining Mull & Iona Food Trail's Moveable Feast with National Meadows Day, celebrating the biodiversity of the Treshnish meadows with a Moveable Feast of local produce created by Jeanette at Ballygown Restaurant.

The event will start at 11am, please meet at the farm. Rachel from Mull Ranger Service is going to set some moth traps overnight and show us what she has caught before we set off at midday on a Ranger led walk with Rachel and Meryl from RSPB Mull Eagle Watch.

If the weather is good, we will picnic in the Coronation Meadow. If it isn’t we will shelter in the barn like we did last year!

You don’t need to book to attend the event, but if you would like a Moveable Feast please order in advance from Ballygown. 01688 500113.
