Meetings of the Isle of Mull Bird Club,
2018 Summer Season. (Subject to change.)


In 2018 we are planning to continue our monthly field trips into the summer as we did last year. Below is the programme so far, further details and variations will be added nearer to the time.

Tuesday 1st May 2018 - Dawn Chorus at Knock
Meet at the Mull Otter Group sign on the edge of Loch na Keal at 3.50am prompt for a 4am start. It really is worth getting up at this unearthly hour to be in the park while it is still dark and before the singing begins. An unforgettable experience. If you'd like to attend then please let us know - it may be cancelled if there are too few interested in the event.


Sunday 10th June 2018 - Wildflower Walk at Treshnish
Wildflower walk at Treshnish Farm in conjunction with Food Trail Farm Walk and Open Farms Sunday at Treshnish Farm to enjoy the Coronation Meadow at it’s most stunning. Further details to follow.


Tuesday 19th June 2018 - Boat Trip to Lunga
Travelling with Mark Jardine, under sail if conditions are suitable. Meet on the slipway at Fionnphort ready to embark at 9.15am.

An opportunity to spend a few hours on Lunga with time to walk to Harp Rock to view the guillemots, razorbills and kittiwakes in addition to the puffins, great skuas and many others (corncrake seen last year). 12 places only. Approx. 35 per person.
